Ezdrummer midi editor7/6/2023 ![]() And it may do that, with some host programs: just not sure about Logic. It would be great if EZDrummer allowed you to drag an existing EZDrummer 2 loop into midi editing, and edit with the host program's midi editor. I still think to midi edit ala piano roll, you have to compose the loops 1st. Pretty cool for composing beats and drum loops, but for playing notes, a typical piano like midi controller is optimal.īut that's using EZDrummer, not EZDrummer 2. The host program allows my wireless keyboard to operate as a controller. All the typical midi editing features, and without using a midi controller. But one can quantize easily, and build beats, modify them, add instruments, etc. My midi editor isn't a piano roll: more like a normal sequencing format. ![]() Pasting or removing sections in the time signature editor did not update the main time signature display. Then I go in and can midi edit and see all the available EZDrummer sounds. MIDI files dragged out from SD3 no longer contain a key signature, so no SysEx track should get created in Cubase (even with the Auto Dissolve Format 0 Cubase option on). After selecting which instrument I want ( EZDrummer ),I then record a loop for 4-8 measures. I then can select from a whole menu of virtual instruments, including 3rd party VST ( which EZDrummer is ). Then when I start a new project, I select using virtual instruments. In my host program, I can load EZDrummer as a VST plug in virtual instrument.
